Really, this was a long time coming, and we finally have a demo release.

Genre - Fantasy/Omorashi
Platform - RPG Maker XP
Includes: Custom-drawn pictures, desperation, wetting and peeing systems, in-battle desperation, two chapters of story and gameplay, and a whole lot of dialogue.

Well, Japan's still way ahead of us in the omo RPG genre, but with all the stuff they have, the English community needs at least one game to call its own, right?
Right now this is a basic demo release with a placeholder combat system, but it's got at least an hour of story to play through.
I won't spoil anything about the plot, so enjoy, and report any errors you find (since I'm sure there will be loads), no matter how small.
Of course, any other comments about impressions or opinions are greatly appreciated as well.

Huge thanks to the whole AGD community for keeping the English fandom of omo RPG maker games alive all this time, it's pretty much what inspired this project in the first place.

A few misc notes:
-I've been making since almost a year ago, though with breaks of two or three months at a time. Looking back at the early content I made about a year ago, the main thing that hits me is that it's a lot of cutscenes - for the first chapter at least (there are two chapters in the demo) it feels more like a VN with interaction than an RPG, and the first wetting scene happens a bit in, so keep that in mind. I hope you'll be able to enjoy it anyway.

-I don't mind at all if you decrypt the .rgssad file, I just did it because I didn't want people to spoil the story with the picture folder on the first playthrough (I guiltily admit to doing this with a few games). After you've played it, look through the files all you want.

-If there are any scenes you want to see in future releases, suggest them here and I'll consider putting them in. Ideas are always useful.

Latest version is v0.105

-ETA on next release is completely up in the air. Like I said, this took a year and only got released now because I decided it was about time I released something so I cut it off at the start of chapter 3, so who knows when the next part will be out?-

I got an unable to find the file ★Akatsuki Shinzen - Koi no MIKURU Densetsu when she is about to play the radio to escape. Game crashes

Really should have thought twice about that file naming.

You can fix it by changing to japanese unicode, but in the meantime I'll upload a fixed version that doesn't need that.

Thanks for reporting a very important bug that I wouldn't have found.

EDIT: Hopefully fixed, check the first post for the new link. You can use the old savefile with the new version no problem.

Let's see what erroneous stuff I encountered:

1) When Chrona gets the radio, it doesn't appear in the inventory.

2) Afterwards, and after Chrona talks to everyone in town, when she returns to the item shop, the radio purchase scene replays instead of the intended phone call scene.

3) In chapter 2, when Ria talks to the clothing shop guy, we see Chrona talking instead.

4) In chapter 2, when Ria tries to enter the teleport training building, some error appears and the game crashes. I didn't remember the error name, though.

This loli is not wearing any pants.
That renders your argument invalid.

1) Guess I missed that, thanks.

2) It's a direct consequence of not having the radio item (That's how I made it check whether you'd seen the scene or not). With 1) fixed, this should be solved too (The phone event is started by going to the orb at the back of the shop anyway, not the shopkeeper.)

3)That was an oversight, fixed.

4) Found out what was wrong, that was another careless mistake. Fixed. You can avoid this error by waiting until you've attended morning class.

Sorry, I'm in a real hurry now so I can't compile the new version, but none of these events stop game progress so I'll upload the fixed version later.
For now, all of these can be avoided:
2)Don't talk to the shopkeeper as Chrona a second time, go for the phone
4) See above
1 and 3) Minor

I'll be back in about 16 hours from now, thanks a bunch for the info.

EDIT: It seems the transport system here has worse bugs than anything the game has. New version up.

burstingbadly

Can someone point me in the right direction of how to start? i have no idea

Go to town and talk to everyone to start with.
The contact is in the clothes shop, but only when it's evening.

Found a few bugs:
(1) When you try to enter the boys toilets in the dormitory when Ria is desperate and Chrona is not in your party, Chrona will speak even though she isn't there.
(2) If you speak to the small pink girl at the entrance to town, when Ria is losing it and Chrona is in your party but her desperation events have not been unlocked, the game will crash.

What a nice game, it offers much more than you could expect from a demo. How much time did it take to make it up to this point?

Good job, Rainyday. This is excellent.

The only bug that I've noticed is after Chrona's wetting scene every "text bubble" continuously shakes. This happens even after shutting down the game and re-selecting the save file.

I can't figure out the blue switch puzzle.
-SPOILERS-

Hit every blue switch you can without touching a single red switch. Also hit the single purple switch. There is a blue switch hidden behind a tree, it's pretty easy to spot.

Now the part that took me awhile to figure out - there is a blue switch that activates a monster fight. Kill both the blue monsters but don't touch the red one. After both blue monsters have been defeated, keep defending until the red monster retreats.

Very clever puzzle, Rainyday.

Hard to say exactly, I started a year ago and since then the work's been very erratically on and off - mostly off.
Really glad you enjoyed it too, I hoped you would after all the effort you put into translating games for the rest of us.

For the button puzzle, I'll give the same hints I gave omorashi.org :
"-The order you press switches in doesn't matter
-Ria hesitating on that one switch is meaningless, it's only for comic value
-The sign is not lying in the slightest and is the most important hint: 'You will pass if you do not disturb anything that is red'
-There are 11 switches to activate in all
-If you think you've done everything you had to but still failed, Chrona will make a comment on it: pay attention to what Ria says immediately after that

Also to make it less troublesome, if you didn't notice, if you use Chrona's magic outside of battle, you can avoid enemy encounters for five seconds (But you need it off to flip switches). "

EDIT: Ninja'd by the complete solution. Well, I guess people have suffered enough on that puzzle it up till now, haha.

Anyway, currently using my phone's internet, next bugfix release will be tomorrow.

As a final thought, I wonder how long it'll take the japanese devs to find out about this game? (If they care at all, that is)

Yipes, that's a killer one.
Really easy to fix too, but as I said, it'll probably have to wait a day until I can get the fixed version out.
If you want to get around it before then I can think of two ways:
-Reload an earlier save and have Chrona go in the flowers instead
-If you've got RPG Maker XP yourself, you can extract the data and create an event anywhere with a text command that just says '\shk[0]'. Talk to it once and it should fix things from then on.

That should teach me not to add in things last-minute without testing them, even if they're simple.

1) Is fixed, 2) is a pretty fatal one that I overlooked: I don't think it's just the girl, if you talk to anyone who gives a special reply when desperate when someone in the party has the [Leaking] status but nobody has [Desperate], the game will hang in an infinite loop trying to figure out exactly which party member is 'desperate'.
Whoops.
It'll definitely be fixed in the 1.04 release, for now that should tell you how to avoid it.

All the estimates I give about when the fixed version can be put up seem to be the 'worst case scenario' updates.

V0.104 is up, reported problems should be solved.
Franklin and everyone else with the shaking bug, go to the dining room (Middle floor dormitory upper floor) and talk to the chicken, it will fix it.
