I played the trial but I'm hesitant to buy it as I feel it's overpriced for what the content there appears to be in it. Are the scenes pre-determined or is there an element of choice in later parts? I know about the pee gauge (filling it leads to omorashi and a game over) but it's only for the dungeons.

I think he's still active on Twitter so maybe he's just too busy to work on the manga. I remember him tweeting recently that he was working on the new chapter but I think that was a couple of months or so ago.
