Man, I realize that it is probably blasphemous on an anime-themed, board, but I'll be the first to admit that I really enjoy a nice big thatch of pubic hair on my girls, animated or otherwise.

What puzzles me most is when the hell this became a fetish!? I can clearly remember a time when every woman you saw anywhere, be it porn, animation (think Heavy metal), your bedroom, or the Bunny mag had a nice, natural bush. Somewhere between me graduating high school and me looking for porn on the internet, it all disappeared. Now if I want to see a natural woman with a real bush, I actually have to go to a 'fetish' site that specializes in it and pay extra. The problem there, of course, is that most of those sites are HIRSUTE fetish sites, which means the chicks there also have hairy backs, hairy legs, hairy pits, and freakin beards. Its become harder than hell to find a nice site that features natural, normal women that don't wax/shave/laser themselves to look like plucked chickens or walking Barbie dolls.

Personally, I think pubic hair adds color, variety, and definition to the female form. I mean really, with a few very minor variations, if you've seen one set of meat curtains, you've seen them all. Its like admiring a chick's belly button. But there are as many different colors, shapes, patterns, densities, textures, and consistencies of bush as there are women period! Its like an extra, cool bit of mystery that gets added to the female mystique. One of the reasons I dig Japanese porn more than western, I guess. They seem to be doing a very admirable job of resisting the cultural trend that is so prevalent in the West.

That's one of the reasons I find all of the 'bare' crotches in hentai to be so odd. The Japanese cultural asthetic clearly favors the presence of pubic hair. Very very very few Japanese models, actresses, AV stars, etc do anything more than very mild trimming. So why are like 90% of the anime girls in hentai bare as Barbies? I realize that there has been a longtime statute in japan against showing pubic hair in cinema, porn, what have you...but pixelation has always worked in the past. Why not just use it for the anime chicks with their funky, green and purple and bright pink bushes? :P

Oh well. Guess maybe I'm just getting too old.

But I have only seen hentai girls with no pubic hairs, it was boring, they looked like barbie dolls...
If anyone knows a good hentai where the girls have have hairy crotches ( at least a little hair ) please post the title.

It's not a fetish, nor is shaved, really, since it's all a pussy....
I prefer real women to have hair there. Doesn't have to be a lot, but I'm fine with trimmed, natural, or any shade of it, as long as there's some.
As for anime, that's kind of a Japanese culture thing, because they, until VERY recently, weren't allowed to show pubic hair there in pictures, so they started shaving or drawing it shaved to get around the law (that likely was trying to circumvent pornography altogether). I'm fine either way, but my problem with it is that, as someone said, they are almost all shaved, which gets tedious.

hmm... but really, that is true... i think that 1 site or well... in movies they started showing hairless chicks, and real women started to accept it as ideal look, and so some men did, and it became a stereotype... well... actually, it's more good for hygiene, if there's less hair, but totally hairless.... i dunno...

It looks good on some girls, but not on others. Mostly I think it looks good on girls who like to have it and are comfortable with it (if we're talking about real life).
In anime, I prefer no hair, because when you get into the non-hairless, it's easy to fall into looking at girls who are hairy like King Kong. =\

I love a bit of a bush, not completly wild, perhaps trimmed (not nessasaraly into any shape), so it looks neater, but like allemagne said, it depends on the girl. Bookworms, I'd probably prefer to be clean, but for the more out there girl, maybe have a neat bush? XD
