How exactly does the karma system here work? Does it have to do with "applaud" and "smite"?
Unfortunately, it looks like Karma will always be useless as both Doom Guard and Duce have informed me. However, Duce seems to have another idea with regard to Advanced Members and that may solve our problems.
I think the karma system isn't that great anyway, I mean as you guys say its useless and when members get pissed off with each other they can just click smite, without really explaining the problem. So I'm glad its useless, as it just seems a tool to iron out people's frustrations
In order for Karma to be useful the system behind it would need to be better developed. The current Karma system has no real basis for existence which makes it useless.
If the Karma system identified the person that smote or applauded and provided their reasons for doing so then the system might be more inclined to work but as it is now this isn't a possibility.
