Techno, Trance, maybe even Eurobeat if I get hopped up on caffeine.

I listen to mostly metal (specifically power metal, folk metal, progressive metal, and gothic metal). I also like some rock such as X Japan, Evanescence...basically any really melodic / symphonic sounding rock.

Electronic mostly.  Anything with a catchy melody and a good beat really. I'll even listen to country, and there is in fact good rap and hiphop out there if you know where to look.

Anything that doesn't suck basically.

I don't really care what genre it is, as long as that song is melodious.

However, nowadays I always listen to BGM, usually from a videogame.

Wait, you other people do that? O_O  Go figure.  My fav thing to do is the listen to music from my games.  I've even bought a few soundtracks.
